Owner of the patented Microphone Mist technology, Nureva enables automatic camera switching with HDL 410 audio conferencing system's new camera zones feature based on the sound location for rooms where more than one conference camera is used.
In larger rooms, viewing the entire room with one camera may not be possible, or the desired imaging angle may not be achieved. In this case, it is necessary using multiple cameras and switching between camera images depending on the location of the person speaking. Nureva enables automatic camera switching by mapping camera zones defined on the HDL 410 system with cameras.
In order to achieve this, a multimedia device is required in addition to the Nureva sound system and cameras. The multimedia device is connected to the connection module of the HDL 410, and the cameras are connected to the multimedia device (HDMI, USB, etc.), and the automatic camera switching for video conferences or online lessons (distance learning) can be achieved.
Once the devices are connected in this way, the camera zones are defined on the
HDL 410's coverage map, and each of these zones is mapped to the camera that will view it.
During an online meeting or class, audio location data is used to automatically activate the camera that is mapped to the zone that speaker in. This makes it easier for remote participants to follow the conversation and the speaker. This feature is also compatible with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other collaboration clients that do not natively support multiple camera feeds in a room.
This approach eliminates the software and technical expertise required in traditional multi-camera switching solutions. The camera zones feature also complements the PTZ functions of PTZ cameras, including face or body tracking. For example, while a fixed shot is being taken in one predefined zone, when switching to another, the camera can automatically track within the zone.
